In the News ...

In Loving Memory of Chevy. Two little portraits of one amazing pup who will be missed.
These are in the "Commissions" section of Painting, even though they were gifts. In fact most of the pieces there were gifts, but created specifically for each person to whom they were given.

Updates
-Two more "Rocky Beaches"--with one or two more on the way--were added to the landscapes gallery.
-My "South Main" paintings of Fall River will make an encore appearance at the Cherry&Webb Gallery this April accompanied by the work of two amazing painters Chuck Boucher and Steve Meehan. Their work will also focus on the landscape of Fall River. Stay tuned for more information regarding opening receptions, etc.

Same song, second verse ... or third.

I have a new site! ... again. After gaining a little more knowledge about website development, I gained the courage to tackle something a bit more involved. So, here goes. As usual, with any endeavor that involves a human, there are bound to be a couple mistakes, typos, broken links, etc. But rest assured that I am still polishing the site and will fix any bugs or plug any holes soon/eventually...I still need to make time for the studio after all!

There are a few new features that I would like to point out:

-A new gallery viewer ... yet, again. I found something kinda fancy, but clean and user-friendly (I hope). It will require that you have a Flash player installed on your computer...though you probably already have it, if you watch things on YouTube and such. But if you don't click >>HERE<< to download it.

-The Shoppe! ... This is stuff that I just can't hold onto and needs to go. My studio is in my small apartment. I run out of room easily. And I just added a considerable amount to my student loan debt, which I start paying soon. Need I say more? Check it out ... please! In fact, go there first.

-Print of the Month ... This is a clever scheme to create deadlines for myself to consistently produce work, to hopefully help me out with my student loans (as mentioned above), and to make some some work that is availble for cheap!

-The About section is kind of a Frequently Asked Questions Page for the work, the website and a brief bio. So check it out when questions arise.

The Bundle of Joy!

Bound and determined to make prints again, I by-passed the commercial presses for a DIY special! Using basic plans purchased from Canadian artist Doug Forsythe, Ryan and I (mostly Ryan) have put together a sweet little number!

Click Here for more pictures of the press.

In Other News ...

I can finally check off the little box next to "Masters Degree" on my to-do list! As of May 2009, a pretty piece of paper with an emblem and signature from Boston University adorns my living room wall! The degree is in Arts Administration, which covers the managerial, fundraising, legal, marketing, etc end of the artworld. As the department motto goes ... "Making the world safe for art, not making art safe for the world." Check out the B.U. Arts Administration website if you are interested in learning more about the program.
